Rock 75 ~ Rain Print Rock ~ Claremont CA, October 5 2015

We hardly ever get rain in Southern California -- but just like the song says, when it does, it pours: and so it it poured here this morning for a bit. On my walk this afternoon, I found evidence of the downpour on a red rock. Literally this rock was painted red on one side. The pattern on it is dots of dried mud -- an impression left by something that looks like bubble wrap. The dots won't last -- they will eventually turn into dust bits and go away - but for now they are stuck on the rock. Wonderful! Rock is approximately 3" long and rather dirty.
